About Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed Club
Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed Club (The New Generation Club) is a community-based cultural and social club founded in Amman in 1950. It is one of the oldest organizations in modern Jordan. For more than 70 years, it has served as a space for preserving and promoting Circassian culture in Jordan and has been awarded the Order of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein for Excellence, First Class. The Club promotes education, the arts, sports, and a culture of volunteerism, bringing together multiple generations.
The Jeel Club Archive: Digitizing Circassian History in Jordan
The Jeel Club Archive Project is a community-led initiative focused on the preservation of Circassian history in Jordan. This digital heritage project organizes and protects over seven decades of priceless historical records. Our archive serves as a primary source for the community and researchers, featuring:
- Historical Photographs & Videos: Visual records dating from 1950 to the present.
- Cultural Documentation: Records of traditional Circassian costumes, music, and ceremonies.
- Community Milestones: Media covering club anniversaries and the evolution of the Circassian diaspora in Jordan.
By digitizing these documents, we ensure that the story of our community remains accessible for future generations.
